Storage Terms & Conditions

1. Rental & Payment Terms

Minimum of 4 weeks rental. Shorter periods may be considered - please enquire. Payment is required in advance, per agreed period (1 or 6 months), by reoccurring card payment (unless otherwise agreed).

2. Deposit, Proof of Identity

A deposit is required when you sign the storage agreement. The deposit will be returned to you within 21 days after your agreement terminates. We require proof of identity to start a rental agreement such as a driving licence or a utility bill.

3. Storage Use

You may only use the unit for storage and not for any other purpose. The goods that you are storing must be your own property or that you have permission from the owner to store them. The storage unit cannot be used for foodstuffs, gas bottles, aerosols, paint/solvents/chemicals, animals/animal bedding, stolen goods, drugs, ammunition/firearms, explosives/flammable goods.

4. Access

Access is available 7.00am to 9.00pm.
You will be provided with a security key card which will enable access to the main yard and to the storage barn (if applicable).
The electric entry gates will allow access using the supplied security key card. During the day the gates will automatically open as you approach them to exit.

5. Padlock

You will be responsible for providing a padlock to lock your storage unit if you wish to secure it.

6. Insurance

Storage of your goods is at your risk and should remain covered under your own house contents or other suitable insurance while in store. Alternatively you can purchase insurance from www.insurastore.com where we are listed.

7. Business Use

The site should be used for storage only and should not be a location for customers to visit and purchase from you.

8. Failure to Pay

Immediately on late payment you will be denied access both to the site and your storage items.

If you fail to pay the rent or any other due charge by the due date, we reserve the right to levy additional charges as follows :

1. A £10 admin fee for every time a payment is missed by more than 7 days.

2. Interest at 5% over the then Lloyds Bank base rate from the date of late payment to actual payment.

We have a lien over the Goods until any due payment is made. If you do not pay the rent or other due Charges within 21 days of the due date, we (or our agent) may deduct the arrears amount from your initial credit / debit card used without further authority, enter the unit(s), seize your Goods and sell or otherwise dispose of them. The cost of such seizure and the disposal shall be deducted from the Deposit before a refund is paid. We shall give you back any surplus arising from the Deposit or disposal proceeds.

9. Notice Period and Termination

You are required to give a minimum of two weeks notice to terminate your agreement. We retain the right to give you 4 weeks notice to vacate.

We reserve the right to terminate our agreement with you with immediate effect and without liability if at our sole discretion it appears:

• The Goods stored are or we reasonably suspect that they are prohibited items

• The nature of the goods may bring bad publicity or disrepute us

• You fail to pay the deposit or any other charge

• You breach any of the conditions of this agreement

10. Refunds

Following you vacating your storage, subject to satisfactory handover, you will be refunded your original deposit. In addition if you leave part way through your pre-paid rental period we will refund any monies paid after your termination date, subject to the two weeks notice.
